What is inspiration?
It is the capricious muse who comes and goes as she pleases. We, the creative ones, have to be ready and open the door for her when she knocks. Many themes inspire me.
The Ocean, its infinite beauty
The power and configuration of the waves, its incredible depths, with myriads of fish and magnificent corals. Unfortunately, I have only painted two paintings on this subject.
It is a peculiar state where everything is immersed in white clothes and sounds are muffled. You just want to be silent. In the falling snow, I hear Tchaikovsky’s music, his Nutcracker. The patterns on the windows look like fancy flowers or ornate dragons. But even this beauty can be spoiled by man. He takes a weapon, shots are fired, blood and death follow. It is a pity that such things still happen.
Perhaps I will return to these themes in the future, but new ideas are already languishing in my imagination.
I also wanted to show you some of my illustrations: they have never been published. My love for books and illustrations has not disappeared. My dream is to illustrate a poem or prose, a novel or a fairy tale, to draw a book. It was only at the beginning of my career that I managed to work in this field, fortunately.
Who knows, Life is full of surprises.
